My journey
My design journey started at birth as the son of a photographer, and living in a home that was also a photography studio. I grew up surrounded by art, and although I loved photography, writing, and music, golf first set me on my path. After studying Spanish at Kutztown University, I accepted a job as an Assistant Golf Professional at Charleston National , moving 700 miles from home to Charleston, South Carolina. Although it felt risky, it turned out to be a great decision. Nine years later, I still love Charleston, but my career has changed significantly. I transitioned from being an Assistant Golf Pro to a Property Manager and then to Recruiting. While recruiting, I discovered the role of a UX/UI designer, which perfectly combined my interests in writing, photography, and helping people. Two years later I made the leap and I enrolled in an intensive UX/UI apprenticeship with Chegg Skills.
